We had a great Thanksgiving with my parents. I am so grateful that I still have them to enjoy the holidays with. We are hoping to spend Christmas with them also .. weather permitting!
We were able to visit Kent in the hospital and were soooo encouraged by his appearance. He had brain surgery on Wednesday to drain a "puss pocket" on his brain...we saw him on Saturday and he was talking and remembering normally. What a wonderful time we live in medically. He is walking with the help of a walker because he is quite weak. The great news is they plan to take him home tomorrow! WOW
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and will have a holiday season filled with love, fun and happiness! REMEMBER THE REASON!

So many things I am thankful for .... family and health are at the top of the list. I am so grateful for my family for the adults that my children have become (even though there were many times I wondered) and for my wonderful husband who treats me far better than I deserve. I am grateful that the health issues we have are so minor. Our friend, Kent, was life flighted to Salt Lake and although there seems to be some improvement there will surely be life time health issues. He is not one to think much about health and what it takes to stay healthy and I hope this has been a wake up call for him. His wife's daughter had another surgery and it did not go as well as hoped. What a strong women Kay is with all that is on her plate she still has a smile and positive attitude.

We just found out this morning that our good friend Kent was found unconscious and taken by ambulance to the local hospital. It's amazing how fragile life is. I have been blessed far more that I deserve in that I have not lost anyone close. I know my time to lose is coming and I don't think there is anyway to prepare for it. Kent's wife has been in Salt Lake with her 26 year old daughter who is in very unstable health with Crones Disease. My heart breaks for her. Please say a prayer for our good friends.

It Must Be Christmas
Santa came early this year and brought us a new car. It is a Cadillac CTS. We are so excited and I am sooooo over SUV's. We are really enjoying it. It gets around 28 miles a gallon between Cedar and Home. It has set in the garage most of the time...I think it's to nice to use for every day. Al drives me crazy when we travel in it...too many gadgets for him to play with. His truck has become the daily transportation.
